ABOUT US
We are TomYumSim (Tom Halls and Simone French) - a company dedicated to producing interactive theatre that engages and challenges audiences to think critically about themselves and the world around them.
We embrace our wacky queer sensibility, neurodivergent brains and a DIY methodology, to make work that is interdisciplinary; using digital technologies, music and video to make live and interactive experiences. Originally from Australia, we are based across Greater Manchester and London.
We have presented work across the UK and Australia; including Manchester International Festival, Cambridge Junction, Manchester Pride, Theatre Deli, Royal Exchange Theatre, Camden People’s Theatre, Pleasance Theatre, Edinburgh Fringe, People's History Museum, The Yard, Word of Warning, Contact, People's History Museum, Melbourne Fringe, Perth Fringe, La Mama Theatre and Federation Square.
As an independent company we have learnt by upskilling and therefore have taken on the responsibilities of: videography, av design, sound recording & editing, costume, devising, directing, producing and marketing. We have reached a point where we want to collaborate with a producer to share the workload, learn from your expertise and breathe opportunity into our fabulous and innovative shows.
As a freelance producer you will be responsible for tax and National Insurance contributions.
We will cover travel costs to attend an in person meeting.
Please send CV & Expression of Interest (Written or Video/Audio Recorded) outlining your experience and alignment with the role to the team at tomyumsim@gmail.com by Monday 24th July.
We will contact all candidates by end of day Tues 25th July and invite shortlisted candidates for a Zoom interview.
Look forward to hearing from all the wild and wonderful Creative Producers!
